Audiovox CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) review
A special phone we had a look at is the Audiovox CDM-9950 (Toshiba
VM-4050), a cell phone that has been created to revolutionize a very
competitive market. Launched around 01/4/2004 the CDM-9950 (Toshiba
VM-4050) functions under the networks AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / 1900. Being
of size 93 x 48 x 24 mm and having a weight of only 116 g, this phone
is just the perfect size. The Audiovox CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) also
includes a beautiful camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 / 2X Zoom / Flash /
Video Recorder. It comes with a 1100 mAh Li-Ion battery which lets you
talk for about 3.33 hours and provides in standby mode 380 hours.
Its
creators incorporated a 6.5 MB memory, enough a normal use! An
interesting option of the Audiovox CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) is the
speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this
cell phone is capable of setting wallpapers of 240 x 320 px. Audiovox
built the CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) with a 48 chords ringtones engine,
making a great phone for you to add many ringtones. The gaming system
included in the Audiovox CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) is based on J2ME,
supporting fun little games! Unsurprisingly, being a standard in the
industry, the CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) offers both services EMS and
SMS messaging.
You also have MMS messages enabled to
send pictures and any multimedia file! The calendar available is very
intuitive and Audiovox equipped it with a phone book having a contact
list capacity of 300. The predictive text system exploits the T9
technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The data transfer uses
the cdma2000 1xRTT technology.
Connection to a computer
is supported with a cable to share ringtones, wallpapers, etc. We
finish by believing the Audiovox CDM-9950 (Toshiba VM-4050) to be a
very interesting cell phone and we greatly encourage it to someone in
search of a good phone!
